SubjectToClimate
SubjectToClimate works to make climate change teaching and learning accessible to all. They enable educators from all subjects and grade levels to teach about climate change. They believe that through this work the next generation will be inspired to take climate action. Their work centers around two primary programs: connectors and integrators.
The Connectors program is focused on connecting educators of all grade levels and subject ares to the resources they need to teach about climate change. They enable the connectors program though their free, easy-to-use hub. Their goal is to increase the number of hours that teachers spend teaching about climate change. They accomplish this by including educators in their development process. This includes the curation of the resources they share and the development of their lesson plans. This ensures that the resources are truly relevant and supplemental to the teachers' classrooms.
The Integrators program works with multiple education stakeholders in a state or region to adapt the "Connectors" platform to their local needs. They aim to align their teaching resources to the relevant standards and work with teachers to develop lesson plans on climate issues that resonate with the specific region. New Jersey is the first state to integrate climate change into all subjects and grade levels. Overall, the Integrators program aims to build collaborative partnerships to increase teacher confidence when teaching about climate change and increase instructional time spent on climate change.

Captain Climate
Captain Climate is SubjectToClimate's mascot. Captain Climate is a timeless superhero who is ageless, genderless, and race-less to help every student feel empowered to make a change and navigate climate resources. Captain Climate is new yet familiar through its depiction of Earth. You can play interactive games with Captain Climate: Urban Forest Planning Game, Greenwashing Gameshow, and on Earth Day, they're releasing a third game called, Best Solutions to Climate Change! You can even make Captain Climate your classroom mascot!
SubjectToClimate offers a resource database for teachers. There are more than 1,900 different resources available! These come from over 60 organizations that have partnered with StC to showcase their climate resources on their website. Included are climate change lessons created by teachers for teachers across many subjects: art, math, science, justice, and health, to name a few
