Glen Canyon Conservancy
April 2020
This month we are featuring Glen Canyon Conservancy. GCC was founded in 1986 as the Glen Canyon Natural History Association. Since then they have grown to support public lands across Utah and Arizona. They constantly seek to help others find a connection with the public lands that are available to them. Their work has helped maintain park facilities, provide interpretive information, and produce education programs.
When you donate to Glen Canyon Conservancy, you can rest confident that your dollars are going to good work. Since their founding, GCC has donated more than $1 million to the National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management. They have also provided support for the Graffiti Removal & Intervention Team (GRIT). This group does work within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area to keep the park beautiful. Programs such as the Navajo Bridge Star Party and the Perseid Meteor viewing were coordinated by GCC.
Glen Canyon Conservancy's mission is "to preserve the magic and beauty of Powell country for generations of future explorers."
