This photo was taken as the sun was coming down at Big Bend National Park. We could see the thick clouds that were pink from the setting sun. It was obvious that there was rain coming down. From where we were, the skies were perfectly clear directly above. We didn't think there was any chance that we would get rained on in the desert. Sure enough a few hours later as we slept in our tents without the rain fly on, it started raining. We'll have to remember in the future that if you see it raining in the desert, you're probably going to get rained on.
