On a clear day, you can't beat the views
The past three years I have been working through the peaks in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, not far from where I live. The Franconia Range is still my favorite area of the White Mountains. This photo was taken along the Franconia Ridge Trail, part of the Appalachian Trail.
The trail connects Mt. Lincoln, Little Haystack Mountain, and Mt. Lafayette. It is a popularly hiked area, and for good reason. On a clear day, you can’t beat the views. Unfortunately, not every day is as beautiful as is presented in this photo. In fact, I have been up here on the Franconia Ridge Trail in as little as 10 feet of visibility.
